When Leland’s Cabins customers Lisa and Chuck Forman moved back to the United States after working overseas, they decided to settle down in Spur, Texas, a blink-and-you-miss-it town of just over a thousand people located east of Lubbock.
They were curious about tiny houses, and when they discovered Spur, they were excited by what they read. The diminutive town was described as big on charm and friendliness, and right away they felt welcome. As the couple visited Spur, they met one of our Leland’s representatives who showed them a handful of our manufactured log cabin homes in town.
The couple liked what they saw.
“We were very impressed with the quality of the workmanship,” Chuck says. “We decided to go down to Grandview and take a look for ourselves.”
Lisa and Chuck talked with a Leland’s rep about our various models of pre-made cabins, ranging from the ultra-lean, tiny-home Chisholm Trail to the spacious 1,500-square-foot The Lodge.
“I said I have a picture of the house we’re thinking of doing,” explains Lisa. “We had different variations.”
They began going over floor-plan options and design specifications, getting into the nitty-gritty of windows, closets, and doors. “He was very, very patient,” Lisa laughs. “We were doing this from about 9,000 miles away.”
Get What You Want
Lisa shared different ideas for light fixtures and where she thought they should go, how much closet space they wanted and where it should be placed, and a list of their wants.
“And we got it,” Lisa says.
That’s the thing about choosing a Leland’s home from all the other Texas log cabin manufacturers. While our cabins are pre-made, we still customize to meet your needs and wants. At the end of the day, we want happy customers, like Chuck and Lisa.
“I am very impressed with them in every single way,” Chuck says of their experience designing and purchasing a Leland’s Cabins home. “It exceeded all of my expectations.”
And now that they’re putting down roots in their newly discovered Texas town, the Formans are delighted to call their customized cabin home. “We are so happy,” Lisa says, “and it came out beautifully, beautifully.”
Workmanship, Pride
“The workmanship is amazing,” she says. “I highly recommend them to anyone.”
Chuck agrees. And for us at Leland’s Cabins, that makes three. “They do business the old-fashioned way,” he says. “They were a pleasure to do business with.”
